The eagerly anticipated new First Watch restaurant in Loudoun County will officially open its doors on Monday morning, May 24. And The Burn got a sneak peek inside as the young staff held their first “friends and family” practice service Saturday morning.

The restaurant — located in the Marketplace at Potomac Station shopping center off Battlefield Parkway NE in Leesburg — has gotten a complete makeover from its former incarnation as a Greene Turtle sports bar. The exterior has been painted and the inside completely redesigned with soft colors and wood tones to create a relaxing rural vibe. Besides the main dining room, there is also a bar area that will have a garage door window (to be installed next week) that will open to the outdoor patio.

The Florida-based First Watch brand bills itself as The Daytime Cafe. That’s because they specialize in breakfast and brunch dishes. They have pancakes, waffles, French toast, Eggs Benedict, breakfast potatoes and their signature Million Dollar Bacon, a crispy bacon with a bit of spicy heat and drizzled with sweet syrup.
